ABOUT OUR CLUB

Ripples St Marys Swimming Club was initially established as St Marys Amateur Swimming Club in 1962, with a name change to the current Ripples St Marys Swimming Club Inc. in 1994.

The club is located at Ripples Leisure Centre, Charles Hackett Drive, St Marys. The Centre is owned and operated by Penrith City Council.
Many of our swimmers began their swimming in the Ripples Leisure Centre Learn to Swim program and have progressed through to the more experienced Squad programs.

Ripples St Marys Swimming Club Inc. is one of the largest and most successful clubs in the Metro South West District, with many of our swimmers competing at the District, Metropolitan, State and National levels in both pool and open water swimming.

The Club caters for both able bodied and multi disability swimmers, ranging in age from 4 years through to adults, competing both socially and competitively.

The Club's objectives are to promote the art of swimming and to encourage each member to achieve their personal best.

The Club competition program has been structured to encourage competitive swimmers to represent their Club at all levels of swimming and for the social swimmer to enjoy the fitness, fun and friendship that Ripples St Marys Swimming Club has to offer.

Ripples St Marys Swimming Club is a registered club and is affiliated with Metro South West and Swimming NSW Ltd which makes members eligible to participate at most Swimming NSW approved carnivals.

The success of the Club is assured by dedicated parent volunteers who assist on Club Nights with timekeeping, marshalling, fundraising, running the BBQ and serving refreshments.

The Club is managed by a committee of swimmers and family members who meet at the pool on a monthly basis.
